
Will employment be for one project and then registration needed for future projects?
Your initial registration to work with us is all that is required. Once you register your interest to work with us and have completed the details we require you will be placed on our new shopper list for your state. When an opportunity arises to recruit new shoppers in your state you will be notified of the details of the assignment and asked if you are available for any of the areas we require shoppers for and in the time frame required. If you are selected to participate you will be automatically contacted for any future assignments in your state and given priority for all new assignments. If you are not selected your details will be kept on our new shopper list and contacted again when the next opportunity arises to recruit new shoppers in your state.
Is there an opportunity for employment on an ongoing basis?
Yes. Shoppers who demonstrate they are able to complete reports of a high standard may be selected to work with us as Editors. All reports completed by our shoppers will then be sent to you for editing. You then liaise with the shopper and prepare the report for presentation to the client. Editing is completed in your own home. All of our staff have been selected via their initial involvement with us as Mystery Shoppers.
Is salary based on an hourly rate or per report?
Payment for Mystery Shopping is made per report completed.
What is the salary and what award is it under?
Mystery Shoppers do not come under an award. Most of our Mystery Shoppers will usually earn a minimum $60 per completed Mystery Shop report.
When will employment commence?
You will be required to check emails daily once you accept an assignment. You will be asked to continue to check your emails daily until you have given the final approval for your report. Once you have given your final approval you are then able to submit an invoice to us for payment for your completed report.
How will l be paid?
Once you have been selected to complete a Mystery Shop visit you will be asked to complete a Confidentiality Agreement, provide your ABN number and complete information about your banking details. A Statement by Supplier will also be sent to you to complete if you do not have an ABN number. You will be paid for your completed and approved report on the last day of the month (in the month following the completion of the assignment) direct into your bank account. Therefore if the assignment concludes on the 15th March you will be paid on the last day of April.
What if l do not have an ABN Number?
When completing your invoice you will need to quote your ABN Number. You can request an ABN number from the Australian Taxation Office: www.abr.gov.au.
If you choose not to have an ABN, then you must complete a Statement by Supplier. This can be supplied to you. You should obtain advice from your tax advisor regarding the best option for you with regard to the manner in which you submit invoices.
If you are registered for GST you can add the cost of GST to your invoice.
Are my partner and/or children welcome to come along with me?
Absolutely – in fact we encourage it. We like to include in our reports how sales consultants interacted with all the people that accompany you.
Is working as a Mystery Shopper with Micro Selling a regular weekly job?
No. Working with us usually suits people who do not want to commit to a regular part time or full time job. It will also suit people who wish to supplement their income through the occasional Mystery Shop assignment. We work nationally so we may not always be working in your state. Every effort however is made to have assignments offered to you. Our most experienced and reliable shoppers are given preference for all new assignments.
Am l given assistance to understand what l need to do as a Mystery Shopper with Micro Selling?
Yes. Lots of information is given to you to understand how you need to conduct yourself during your visit and how to complete your report. We work with a relatively small group of shoppers so we can spend the time required for them to understand what we need. You will have one on one interaction with all the staff at Micro Selling who are available 24/7 via email and phone to support you and guide you.
